 Room 22 and 23 are working together to learn about measurement. We learnt about measurement through the Olympic Games and in PE with Gymnastics.

We are learning to find out what we know about measuring a distance by measuring different lengths and comparing objects.

Buddy Reading

Our year 5  buddy class shares reading books with us. I like to practise reading with my buddy.

PE - Invasion Games

I am learning to throw and catch  big and small balls.

'I play rugby so use can help other people learn to catch and throw balls straight. If you use 'crocodile hands' the ball will go right through. You need to have your hands together and move around to where the ball is.'

Term 2 Reading

        I am learning to find smaller words in bigger words to help work out unknown words.

"I can find little words in bigger words. It helps me sound out words so  I can read better.'

Mufti Day - My Favourite Outfit!

My favourite outfit!
We bought a gold coin and the money went to Plunket. Blue Bear from Plunket came into our room and we asked questions.

Feijoas to Share

When the feijoas at my house fall on the ground, bring them into my classroom to share. We put them in a big jar and everyone helps themselves when they feel like one. I like to share. It makes people happy and me too.

CARE - Bus Trip

I can show my CARE values when on a bus.

'We went on a bus and my Mum was a parent helper. I showed my care values by getting on and off the bus sensibly. I sat down and used my whisper voice when talking.'
